One of the easiest things to do is use spray foam insulation (about 1" in the wall cavities) before you install fiberglass bat or blow-in fiberglass insulation then you can use a little less fiberglass. This will cost a little more but the savings far outweight the cost.

When to start your Home Design.

It is best to start your building design about 6 - 9 months (minimum) before you want to start your project preferrably sooner than later. In today's building climate it is also advisable to meet with a good building designer before finalizing the purchase of your property to make sure it will work for your needs.
